With a background in general business and financial services, Carrie is one of the founding board members and serves as 1p36 DSA's secretary. She works for Therapeutic Resources Inc. in Mill Creek, WA where she is both the office manager and serves on the corporation's board of directors. Knowing how difficult it was when her daughter was diagnosed with 1p36 Deletion Syndrome, Carrie felt very strongly that she wanted to help create an organization that is both a source of information and support as well as a rallying point for families to advocate for greater awareness of the syndrome.

"I am very proud to part of 1p36 Deletion Support & Awareness and of the hard work that everyone involved has done and continues to do."

Carrie lives near Seattle, WA with her husband Shawn and their daughter Kate who was diagnosed with 1p36 Deletion Syndrome at 18 months.
